Fork Tuning

The fork is the primary interface between the road and your hands, when your hands and eyes are happy with what is happening, riding will naturally be more fluid, easier and safer… - problem being is that many people think bikes should feel a certain way, and do not know what they are missing…

From the simple setting up of what you already have, to re-valving or redesigning, to the customization and implementation of hybrid or special concepts… It is the manipulation of the damping curves that makes a personalized re-valve (OEM or kitted) so invaluable. Experimentation over the years has proven that many people may not necessarily be able to explain or describe what is going on; yet even learners have improved confidence in their riding when a damper is altered to suit them better – spending time learning to ride on a bad damper, and believing this to be useful exercise, is fundamentally the most illogical of urban-myths. Just as OEM suspension is one size fits all, and just as a custom front-end should not be; so neither should a re-valve be… – your ‘curves’ will not necessarily be as someone else’s!!!

With ever continuing research and developmental work being undertaken for firms around the globe, the newest designs and tangentised shimming/valving combinations are always being tested and analysed, so as to bring the most suitable and best performing products to the roads and tracks of Europe, America and Australasia.
